Residential Programming

Turning Point Centers offers residential programming for adults who have mental health concerns and substance use disorders and require structured care to regain control of their lives. Those who participate in residential programming receive intensive services and round-the-clock monitoring from an attentive staff of professionals. Together, we provide holistic care that supports each client’s mental, physical, emotional, and social wellness.

In our residential programming, we incorporate interventions and evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT that have proved effective in treating behavioral health concerns. Clients may participate in art and music therapy, trauma-informed care, meditation and mindfulness, individual therapy, family counseling, and group therapy sessions.

Group therapy is an important component of our programming that can help clients build meaningful bonds with peers and gain insight into relevant topics, like:

  • Coping strategies
  • Self-esteem
  • Healthy boundaries
  • Experiential education
  • Recovery management
  • Relapse prevention
  • Life skills
  • Self-care

We work with each client to select the therapies and services that can help them stabilize, achieve their therapeutic goals, and progress to the next phase of their healing journey. Our goal is to help those in the residential program safely transition back home or to a lower level of care, like our PHP or IOP.

Partial Hospitalization Programming

Our PHP, a daytime treatment option, is an intermediate level of care that may be ideal for individuals who are beginning their healing journey or stepping down from residential programming. In this setting, we offer the same variety of services that may be provided in residential care. Clients take part in therapy sessions and receive services during the day and return home in the evenings and on weekends, which allows them to maintain connections with their communities and support networks.

We offer two distinct tracks: one for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and one for primary mental health diagnoses. This allows us to provide support that targets different types of symptoms in the most effective way.

Intensive Outpatient Programming

At Turning Point Centers, we offer intensive outpatient programming to provide transitional support during what can be a pivotal phase in a person’s journey toward sustained well-being. Adults can step down to intensive outpatient programming from residential care or partial hospitalization programming, or they may enter this level of care directly.

For those who need outpatient care, maintaining a healthy balance between receiving services and carrying out day-to-day responsibilities can be extremely important. We understand that improving overall wellness is not just about overcoming addiction or managing symptoms but also about reclaiming a fulfilling and meaningful life. For this reason, we encourage our clients to continue pursuing their personal and professional goals, nurturing relationships with family and friends, and engaging in activities that bring them joy and fulfillment outside of programming hours.

Our intensive outpatient programming offers a unique blend of therapeutic support and flexibility, enabling clients to continue to work and spend time with their loved ones while getting the help they need. Programming typically involves weekly individual and group therapy sessions, which clients can participate in during the morning or evening hours depending on what fits with their schedule.

Like the partial hospitalization program, the IOP at Turning Point features separate pathways for adults who are suffering from mental health concerns and addictions at the same time and those who are struggling primarily with mental health concerns.

Transitional Living Residences

We recognize that having a supportive living environment can be critical to maintaining recovery and mental well-being. That’s why we offer transitional living residences as part of our client-centered services. Our living arrangements give individuals a safe, affordable, and welcoming space where they can establish healthier habits and focus on their personal growth.

The residences are carefully designed to provide a nurturing environment where individuals can navigate the early stages of recovery with confidence and stability. Situated in a safe neighborhood with easy access to public transportation and staffed by caring personnel, our residences offer a haven that is conducive to the healing process. Each resident can enjoy the comfort and privacy of their own bedroom within a communal living setting designed to foster a sense of belonging among peers.

Our Alumni Program

At Turning Point Centers, our dedication to supporting our clients extends long after their time at our facility. We recognize that the journey toward lasting healing requires a lifelong commitment, and we are pleased to provide an alumni program that offers continued support for those who are navigating life after leaving our care.

By providing ongoing engagement opportunities with a community of peers, we strive to ensure that our clients have access to the support they need to continue achieving milestones well beyond their time in our programs. We believe that when individuals remain deeply involved in their communities, they can develop a sense of purpose and fulfillment and strengthen their support network.

Our vibrant alumni program offers opportunities for individuals to get involved in a variety of social activities and team sports, such as volleyball, basketball, and softball. These activities not only promote physical health but also provide a chance for participants to build camaraderie. Additionally, we offer opportunities for alumni to participate in support group meetings, charitable events, and community service projects.
